Future plc appoints Elizabeth Deeming as SVP of Group

Future plc has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Deeming as SVP of Group. She will join Future in November.

The new role brings together Future’s B2B functions to create a new centre of excellence for B2B pro content and a new operating model for lead generation, and will also include transformation and delivery as the new Dennis acquisition embeds.

Most recently Group Managing Director of Hyve plc, the FTSE-listed global organiser of trade shows and B2B virtual events, Elizabeth has been leading information and services companies for twenty years. At Hyve, she ran the largest division of the business, spanning sectors from EdTech to Ecommerce to FoodTech as well as overseeing product development and digital strategy on behalf of the group.

Previously she was Chief Operating Officer of Stylus Media Group, a private equity-backed information services company which sells market research and data products to consumer companies. Earlier in her career, she worked at News Corp, at Deutsche Bank in the TMT practice, and at a management consulting firm.

Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO of Future, said:  “I’m delighted to welcome Elizabeth to my team at a time when we are starting the work to realise the benefits of the Dennis acquisition. She brings a wealth of knowledge with her that will enable our plans around  accelerating our strategy through a US first mindset and diversifying our presence in the B2B Pro Tech vertical. She will work closely with SVP B2B Rick Stamberger who remains on the Executive Leadership Team.”

Future completed its acquisition of Dennis at the beginning of October. Over the last five years, it has acquired assets worth GBP £1.4bn (including Dennis) and increased its underlying business by more than GBP £2bn.
