The list of world-class speakers at next year’s FIPP World Media Congress is growing rapidly, with 13 names now confirmed. The must-attend annual event for decision-makers in media, media tech, and adjacent sectors will take place from 6-8 June in Cascais, Portugal. With tickets sure to be in high demand it’s important to book early.
There’s only a week left to sign up for Congress at the lowest price possible: the discount launch offer with a saving of €900 per ticket ends on 1 December and you can sign up here.
Living up to its reputation as a truly global event, the Congress will, among others, feature speakers from the US, UK, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and Thailand…with more to be confirmed over the next few months.
The speakers will join delegates and exhibitors at an event that’s especially relevant to those operating in the magazine media sector, irrespective of the format of your “magazine”, whether in print, online, a newsletter, a podcast, or a combination of platforms.
Among the speakers are Bonnie Kintzer, CEO of TMB (Trusted Media Brands), and Jens Mueffelmann, Executive Chairman of Bonnier LLC, who will discuss the state of global media strategies against the backdrop of a changing world.
We will have Rafat Ali, CEO, and Co-founder of Skift, a B2B travel media vertical and founder in the early 2000s of PaidContent, a site he sold to Guardian News & Media in the UK in 2008, discussing building a specialist media business from the ground up.
Preethi Nallu, Global Director of Report for the World, will share how they support and develop sustainable journalism in under-reported segments and parts of the world. Shirish Kulkarni, Consultant, Innovation and Inclusion, and News Storyteller Researcher at Monnow Media, will discuss how inclusion drives innovation.

Working with travel partner Savile Row Travel, our partners Di5rupt has also blocked a number of rooms at the Congress venue and other hotels in Cascais. The offer at Pestana Cidadela and its sister hotel Pestana Cascais expires on 2 December. Secure your accommodation early, and stay close to the action!

Cascais is a popular destination, and with limited hotel rooms near the centre, supply and demand will cause prices to rise significantly for June when the Congress will take place.
